The goal for this marketing campaign was to align with Matsuda's brand pillar of making all content a fine art project, while creating a "evergreen" marketing campaign that could be used with all of the eyewear being released in COLLECTION. I worked directly with the CEO and owner of the brand to conceive a campaign that could meet these standards while also meeting fast approaching deadlines. We decided to lean into the focus on a fine art project and do an exercise in composition, much like an art student seeking a fine art degree would do in their pursuit. We kept our studio set simple, including just the eyewear, Candellini clamps, and metal plates, posed in a variety of different compositions while still maintaining the high quality lighting that would be expected in a photography project like this. The campaign was successful and was used in social media, content for clients, and content for trade shows. I also wrote copy for the Instagram posts, modeling them after the cards found next to fine art pieces in museums.
